Dubai Creek Dhow Cruise with Dinner

2 hours

Easy

Experience a romantic dinner cruise on a traditional wooden dhow, sailing along with a delicious buffet.
An evening on Dubai Creek aboard a traditional wooden dhow, refitted over two decks for dining. The lower deck is air-conditioned and laid with tables; the upper deck is open, and it is where most guests end up, because the whole appeal is the water. The two-hour sailing follows the Creek through the oldest part of the city - the stretch where Dubai's trade actually began - past the Deira wharves, where working cargo dhows are still tied up and loaded by hand, and between the illuminated buildings on both banks. Dinner is an international buffet with vegetarian dishes alongside the grills and curries, and a welcome drink, soft drinks and tea are included. Live entertainment runs through the evening, including a tanoura spinning performance. It is a straightforward, good-value first night in Dubai and works equally as a family dinner or a quiet one for two. Boarding is in the early evening at the Creek jetty; arrive a little ahead of departure, as the boat leaves on time.

Please note

Boarding is at the Dubai Creek jetty in the early evening and the dhow departs on time, so arrive at least 15 minutes before your slot - the boat cannot wait for late arrivals. Exact jetty details are sent with your confirmation. Seating is split between an air-conditioned lower deck and an open upper deck; upper-deck places are not reserved and fill quickly, so board early if you want one. The buffet includes vegetarian dishes, and soft drinks and tea are unlimited; alcohol is not served. Smart casual dress is fine, but bring a light layer for the open deck in winter. The Creek is sheltered and the sailing is calm, so seasickness is rarely an issue. Boarding involves a short step down onto the boat, which is worth knowing if anyone in your party has limited mobility.
